Assignment #4: Graduation Analysis Spreadsheet
DUE: March 31, 1998
Objective: 1. Prepare a "Graduation Analysis" spreadsheet which you can use to keep track of your progress toward a BS degree in MSE, 2.Demonstrate that you have properly installed a spreadsheet program on your machine, and that you have mastered the basic functions available in the spreadsheet program
Given: Class handout, example from last year.
Instructions:
- Prepare a spreadsheet similar to the example passed out in class which summarizes your particular program of study. Your spreadsheet should include the following points:
- a centered title which includes your name and the date the spreadsheet was prepared.
- columns and rows as indicated on the example, including appropriate column headings.
- column totals for each semester, along with a semester QCA and cumulative QCA. These totals and averages must be calculated by the spreadsheet, not entered by hand.
- Your spreadsheet does not have to look exactly like the example passed out in class, but it should fit on two pages and be at least as easy to read and follow as the example. Some formatting should be included to enhance clarity (i.e. bold, italics, spacing, etc.)
- Based on your current interests, pick real electives to fill the various elective slots all the way through to your graduation. As you make changes to your schedule throughout the next few years, you can use this spreadsheet to change your schedule and verify that you will still meet all graduation requirements.
Part I (100 pts): Deliverables
- A copy of your two page spreadsheet
