Title
Visualizing the Discrepancy between Physical and Virtual Measurement of the Six Degrees of Freedom in the CAVE
Background
During the Spring 2000 semester I designed and constructed a six degree of freedom measurement device for use in the CAVE. Utilizing code written by Lance Arsenault to collect tracker data from the Ascension Flock of Birds, I recorded both the physical and virtual six degrees of freedom measurements (x, y, z, h, p, r). Since the CAVE is a visual tool, it is of interest to present the measurement data visually, thus viewing the tracker discrepancies instead of merely calculating them.
