Readme.txt 6/17/98 ========== Files in this directory: (where XX denotes a version number) mmdstXXX.zip MigModel distribution file. readme.txt (this file) Descriptions, installation instructions zmigmoXX.exe The next five files are for the MigMod tutorial zmigs1XX.exe zmigs2XX.exe zvocabXX.exe zpandmXX.exe readme.txt Descriptions, installation instructions, and hardware/software requirements of MigModel and the MigMod tutorial. Be sure to switch to BINARY mode before transferring ALL of these files to your system. Simply enter 'binary' to switch to binary mode. The MigMod distribution files are self-extracting archives. Place them all in the same directory and execute them to install the MigMod tutorial. The MigModel distribution file mmdst133.zip is a zip archive. A utility which extracts zip archives is required to install migmodel. This version of migmodel runs ONLY in the 32-bit Windows environment (Windows NT, Windows 95, or Windows 3.1 with win32s installed). MigModel ======== MigModel is a program that provides a student with the means to develop and explore models relating to migration. The student selects factors that he or she thinks were significant to migration between counties of the United States during a decade. The student can then compare his or her model with the actual migration that occurred during that period.
